In 2005 her first job in the fine jewelry business was with the family owned, highly esteemed custom, design house of Charles Koll Jewelers. Located in La Jolla, CKJ was and is San Diego’s premier jeweler for over half a century. It was here that Jordan was indoctrinated into the unique world of fine jewelry and all its facets. Relationships formed while at GIA and during her tenure at Charles Koll have proved priceless. To this day she has chosen to only work directly with the most reputable members of the business from both east and west coasts, from master jewelers to diamond dealers.

Jordan was born and raised in Anchorage, and after twelve years in the lower 48, she decided to move home. In the years that followed she designed and sourced stones for friends and family. After starting a family of her own she was inspired to start Alaska Gem Lab in 2017. Focused on jewelry appraisal in the beginning, ‘The Lab’ quickly grew into something much more involved, a custom design house of her own. The demand for high quality design, gemstones and execution was something Jordan felt the Alaska community deserved. Since then, she has created some incredible pieces that she, her clients and her home state can be proud of.
